In this 10th Newsletter there is information concerning the recent and upcoming activities of the ISSMGE TC211 for Ground Improvement.
The proposed National Quality Mark Scheme for Land affected by Contamination (QMLC) is a scheme that has been developed by the Land Forum to provide visible identification of documents that have been checked for quality by a Suitably Qualified and experienced Person (SQP). It is hoped that this will provide increased confidence and improved quality of submissions made under regulatory regimes, particularly planning applications, related to previously used land.
The Conference Organising Committee of the XVI ECSMGE is offering Registration Fee Waivers to up to 10 applicants. These are only open to those without the resources to pay the registration fee and who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference. The Conference Organisation Committee will not provide any contribution to travel or accommodation costs for attending the conference. Full details with guidelines for applicants and an application form are attached below.
