The American Rock Mechanics Association invites you to its 50th US Rock Mechanics/Geomechanics Symposium to be held in Houston, Texas, USA on 26-29 June 2016. The 2016 program will focus on new and exciting advances in rock mechanics and geomechanics. In addition to being the central hub of the petroleum industry, Houston is one of the country’s most cosmopolitan and diverse cities that offers a great variety of activities and destinations for visitors. Houston’s deep cultural offerings include world- class fine arts museums and the Natural Science Museum as well as its Symphony, Grand Opera, and Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The Houston Astros baseball team is in full swing in June; Galveston beckons with its beaches, bay, and bustling boardwalk; and NASA’s Houston Space Center is an icon that cannot be missed.
The American Rock Mechanics Association invites you to its 49th US Rock Mechanics/Geomechanics Symposium to be held in San Francisco, California, USA on 28 June-1 July 2015. The 2015 program will focus on new and exciting advances in rock mechanics and geomechanics. San Francisco is one of the country’s most dynamic cities. Home to some the world’s most innovative companies (Silicon Valley is nearby), San Francisco is known for its beautiful hills and views, its world-class restaurants, and its sophisticated cultural institutions. The symposium will be held at the Westin St. Francis on Union Square in the heart of the city.

The Japanese Committee for Rock Mechanics (JCRM) - Japan National Group for ISRM - is pleased to extend an invitation to you to the 8th Asian Rock Mechanics Symposium “ARMS8”, the 2014 ISRM International Symposium. The symposium will be held on 14-16 October, 2014 in Sapporo, a modern and beautiful city in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. The theme of the symposium is ‘Rock Mechanics for Global Issues - Natural Disasters, Environment and Energy - ’. The goal of the symposium is to respond to those issues and to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in various areas of the rock mechanics and rock engineering.
